memory of Mr. Victor Rico Larrota founder and manager of our
town and remember his middle name becomes the name for our town complementary
to then our country was created as inspection municipality of San Martin de los
llanos.
In December 1964 management by municipal residents held a petition to the
authorities of the town of San Martin to move to Puerto Rico, the committee
allocated the land to the main park and the government house some streets also
plotted people.
In the year 1984 by ordinance 010 of the same year, the municipality of Puerto
Rico Meta from the effective date of 1985, is appointed mayor and officials of
the municipal town hall is created
