The municipality bases its economy on
trade of agricultural producers, the coffee , the cane sugarcane,
bananas, citrus, fruit and agricultural resources. As transient is
important crops bean cultivation. The exploitation of livestock pastures
occupy more than 50% of the municipal territory.The honey and other bee
products are other sources of population.
