Girardota is a municipality of Colombia ,
located in the Valle de Aburrá the department of Antioquia . Bordered
on the north by the municipalities ofSan Pedro de los Milagros and Donmatías ,
on the east by the municipalities of Barbosa and San Vicente ,
on the south by the municipalities of Barbosa and Guarne , and on
the west by the town of Copacabana .
His name was given in honor of the hero of
the fatherland Atanasio
