The story goes that the 27 June 1950 established around the river Caquetá five sawyers looking cedar, these five pioneers were: Pedro Fajardo, who made his home on the banks of the creek the Curillo; Ruben Cabrera was established in what is now the town of Curillo; and Galeano, Henao and casanova, families are also part of this empire colonizers.

By 1958 these settlers cited fifteen neighbors advised by the police inspector san Roque, Putumayo, formed a community action board and decided to found a town which they named as "Puerto de Oro". One of these settlers was
