About Cumbitara



Cumbitara is a city in the southwest of Colombia, in the department of NariƱo. It is situated 164 km from the provincial capital, Pasto.

The town was founded by Custodio, Lorenzo and Lazaro Canamejoy and Matthew, and Maria Angelita Botina in 1897, and elevated to the category of town on 21 November 1968.
