Putre is a city and commune in Parinacota Province in the Arica and Parinacota Region to more than 3500 meters (in the Chilean Altiplano ) and 160 kilometers from Arica . The village is located a little away from the road 11-CH that goes from Arica to Bolivia via the Col de Tombo Quemado
