It has a private marina for yachts adjacent to a fishing village. It also has two hotels, a police station, stadium, convenience stores, residential, a beautiful church made of stone, a sector of craft shops and a pedestrian. On the beach there are two camping areas located tens of meters from the sea shore.

Most of the houses are holiday makers and is the extension of the town of Pichidangui that is 1.5 km inland from the coast.

This town attracts a significant amount of tourism due to its a agradables beaches , tranquility as it is one of the main places to practice windsurfing in Chile, thanks to the wind in the afternoon which is abundant in the area. Also practiced sailing, boating, diving and fishing.

The village itself is located 196 kilometers north of Santiago de Chile , 45 kilometers north of La Ligua , 29 miles south of Los Vilos and 278 km south of La Serena and has 1226 permanent inhabitants, in summer the number was triples. Pichidangui adjoining localities are Quilimar� and Guangual�
