The Outback Region, as defined by the Local Government Association of South Australia, is one of seven regions of South Australia.
The Outback is the informal name for the large dry regions covering most of the centre of Australia, including inland areas of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory
