The lands of the present town of Luján Dam were inhabited by aboriginal Chanáes Mbeguáes. As lowland soon be occupied by the rooms nearby. The area depended on the Cabildo of Buenos Aires until 1755 when it created the Cabildo de Luján. In 1774 this land became part of Pilar's Party until 1865, when they were incorporated into the Department of Las Conchas, current Tigre.

In the late nineteenth century the land owner was Dr. Benito Villanueva, Vice President and President of the Senate of the Nation, who owned the residence Los Arenales, whose hull was in present and funds Maschwitz Engineer gave the Luján River.

Benito Villanueva proposed leverage the arrival of the railroad to its low land to create a new development, called "Delta City". To achieve this would solve the problem of flooding, for which he built a series of canals to desagotar fields as channels Villanueva, Los Sauces, Rioja, Pacheco, Garcia and Carolina among others. CHRONOLOGY



*    On 2 February 1536 occurs the first foundation of Buenos Aires, by Pedro de Mendoza.

*    1541 The people of Buenos Aires first deposit destroy it because of the constant attacks of the natives.

*    The 11 June 1580 is held the second foundation of Buenos Aires, by Juan de Garay.

*   9 October 1601 Francisco de Muñoz receives the land that would become Mr. Maschwitz.

*    1686 The Lieutenant Francisco de Pereyra purchased the first of fractions where today is located the Country Maschwitz, Barrio Los Ñanduces, Los Nogales, Los Naranjos, locust trees, and Doña Justa Lambaré Maschwitz Ing.

*    The 12 May 1703 Don Juan de Benavidez acquires land and founded his stay "Benavidez".
